Good to know, I'm so afraid they are going to take me off ibrance. I've posted about my ct showing progression and I will have another biopsy to the hilar lymph nodes to make sure this met is er/pr+. So worried that it will be different, like triple neg, which scares me. Can't find much information about women having two different receptor types. The types of treatments they have. But that's one of the possibilities that my oncologist mentioned. I've got a two week wait just for a consultation on the biopsy so I've got way too much time on my hands to worry about this. Just wanted to test out as estrogen positive and stay on the ibrance.

usually if the biopsy is a little different, it doesn't mean that your dr will start treating you for a triple negative cancer... i just had a biopsy and my er+ went way down...and the pr+ turned negative...but 2 oncs told me that doesn't mean i have a new triple negative cancer...just that it is now showing "heterogeniety".

Hi, I progressed in under a year on letrozil and Ibrance. I was then put on faslodex and ribocicclib as part of a clinical trial to see if the ribo could work like ibrance in extending length of time on Faslodex. Unfortunately I progressed again in under a year. It was pretty devastating. However I’m now on Xeloda and after 90 days the new spots in my lung and liver are gone (my original Mets wa in my spine and pelvis)! If you have progressed on your current protocol it might make sense for you to be transitioned to a new one. My doctor was so thrilled to see the change in my last scan and said that I clearly just needed chemo (Xeloda is chemo pills) and was non responsive to the hormonal therapy. Hearing you progressed is the worst, but there are options beyond Ibrance that could work for you.
