I have a vertevplasty done Monday to try and help my back pain due to spinal cord compression surgery that was successful. Now iam having rib pain. I do have mets to some ribs. Wonder if it's from lying on my stomach for so long. Any thoughts?

Vertevplasty
Being on your stomach longer than usual sure seems like a possibility to me. But also if it were me, I would call the surgeon's office and ask! Better to call a bit too often than not quite often enough! That is my theory for living with this blasted cancer. Hope it is nothing to worry about and that you are soon pain free. Sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.
I had same procedure in Jan. 2016 and had awful, awful pain in my ribs for several days. They said it was muscular resulting from the needles and cement they had to inject. Took about a week for it to calm down. Amazing results from procedure!
How are you doing now? Pain better? Are you having physical therapy? I've had to have a couple of back surgeries, not related to the bone mets there, but in an area where there are mets in the vertebrae, and have had good results and PT was very helpful, but my sciatic nerve is scarred and I don't have much sensation/feeling in my feet and that is effecting my balance and gait. Our backs are more important than I ever knew and I have wondered how you are doing. Hope it's all going well for you.
Yes,they finally came to the conclusion it was nerve root pain. It has all subsided! I had a spinal cord compression and lots of mets to the vertebrae the time I got to Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan Ga, it was bad the surgeon said my vertebrae were like wet corn flakes !!! He relieved the compression. That was Nov 2016. It is much better, I had radiation to harden the bones back, that worked. I just still have back pain. That was the reason for the vertevplasty. To help strengthen my back. I think it had helped some. My back will never be like it was . Thankful I didn't have any paralysis! The surgeon said a miracle! I believe!!!!
Wet corn flakes is quite an image! I'm glad it helped and hope the pain is manageable.
