I'm a 51 year old female, diagnosed 2014 with breast cancer. First yr as a survivor. 11 surgeries later I'm on a quest to wellness. But with this monster I have new medical problems. Feel like I will never get better. Anyone feel this way? Wellness where are you?

Hi Sue102414 I'm sorry that you're been going through such a hard time. Have you talked to a doctor about how you're feeling? That might be a helpful first step. I also recommend calling SHARE's breast cancer Helpline. You'll be put in touch with someone who's been where you are and can talk you through what you're feeling. The number to the Helpline is 844-275-7427. Hope this helps- please keep us updated on how things go.

It's a long journey but it does happen, Sue. Sorry you're having such a rough time. The first year (like the first year of anything...marriage, parenthood...) is the hardest. It's good to have support like meetings and us. SHARE is a wonderful group. Call their Helpline (844-ASK-SHARE) if you'd like to talk to someone. Or pose this group with specific challenges and we'll try to help. It gets better. Some people don't make it even this far.

I certainly understand how you feel, and agree with BklynCatwoman, it get's better. I work for SHARE Cancer Support and we offer a lot of breast cancer support groups that you might find helpful, here is a link: sharecancersupport.org/brea.... You could attend in person or call in. Also, to reiterate what BklynCatwoman said again, SHARE has a Helpline that is staffed from 9:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m. ET seven days a week by women that have been diagnosed with breast cancer: 844-ASK-SHARE (844-275-7427). Let us know if we can help you!
