I know there are a ton of smoothly recipes out there that are good for breast cancer patients but I wanted to see if there were any really good ones that can be passed along. I just had my last (6th) chemonon Friday. Surgery then radiation in November and Dec. My tastebuds suck. Looking for something good to eat that won't taste bland.

Hi Sharon1014,

I have had some good ideas from Kris Carr who herself lives with cancer (and has loads of inspiring stuff beyond food) kriscarr.com and also from Ross on liveenergized.com

My basic principle is that anything can go in a smoothie - preferably organic, fresh and heavier on the veg/green than too much fruit. I always include seeds soaked overnight as well.

Enjoy!

You might want to consult your doctor before taking the plunge into smoothies. Highly concentrated nutrients that may be great for you in ordinary circumstances may not be advisable while you're undergoing chemo and/or radiation. I don't know what the current thinking on this is, but always best to mention a change of diet to your treatment team.
