Buried Penis Circumcision Worries

I’m overweight type 2 diabetic. Lately I have been suffering from reoccurring balanitis from thrush for around 6 weeks so far. It clears up in around a week but every time I stop using the cream it comes back in 2 days. I have been told if the treatment doesn’t clear me up completely in the next 3 months I will need to be circumcised. I already suffer from a buried penis. Most of the time I just have a bunched up foreskin but if I push into the fat my penis comes out no problem. I’m worried what will happen if circumcised.

It’s not completely buried!

Most of that is skin. If I didn’t have my foreskin here I think it would be just the glans if that.

All depends on your surgeon, I thought mine was going to be buried but it didn’t. Although he caused me another problem which needs another surgery for penoscrotal webbing.

Did they remove too much skin. That concerns me too. I’m worried that if they remove enough foreskin to keep my glans exposed when soft that I won’t have enough to get a full erection.

Well I think you should worry about the "buried" part first.

Also, from your picture, I cannot see any hard tissue. Maybe I missed something.

I haven’t got hard tissue. I was told that I may need to be circumcised due to reoccurring balanitis. My penis does come out and if I push into the fat pad it makes a big difference. I have added some pictures if you want to see. imgur.com/a/GMapsS4

I see nothing wrong with your penis. Usually the balanitis will be a tight and white circle around your foreskin.

I think you are mixing up phimosis with balanitis. Balanitis is an infection on the head of the penis. This can cause phimosis which is a tightening of the foreskin. My foreskin did start to tighten but I kept stretching it and now it is looser than before. I’m on a 3 month course of cream just now for the balanitis. My doctors said that if it comes back after I Finnish the cream then I may need to be circumcised.
