on Instagram I see Ads for Testosterone supplements are they safe and do they work ?
is it safe to buy so called supplemen... - Sensitive Issues ...
is it safe to buy so called supplements to boost your Testosterone?
Ask yourself 'Can you buy them from Boots?'
Hey Glenkerry40,
Please don't go buying that off the internet, what if something goes wrong, why don't you go to your GP or even oncologist and get some bloods done to see if your testosterone is low, and they can prescribe you with the proper testosterone gels or injections, you need to be so careful buying drugs online a lot of them are scams and may not have the proper ingredients in them and could even make your prostate issues worse.
Hope this helps and good luck
Mark
First you need to be tested by our doctor to determine if you have low T. Taking online supplements can be dangerous and in some cases even deadly. Work with your doctor to find out if you have this issue and then what you should do to reverse it. In all likelihood online supplements won't be a preferred option.
The safest testosterone booster is ensuring good diet and vitamin supplementation. Zinc in low doses (max 25mg a day) is necessary for your testicles to turn healthy dietary fats and cholesterol into testosterone (don't be on a fat-free diet...that kills testosterone, but eat healthy). Low dose vitamin D3 also triggers the testicles to make testosterone (you can look these up in medical studies). Higher doses of zinc can lead to copper deficiency and higher doses of D3 may lead to increased risk of kidney stones, so don't think that more is better. Your body just needs a small amount to be a testosterone manufacturing unit.
I took 25mg Zinc and 1000u of D3 at bedtime (because men make most of their testosterone while sleeping) for a few months and my testosterone levels increased by more than 200 ng/dL (go see your doc to get your baseline numbers).
Most men will notice if they're making more testosterone because they'll experience more erections during the night or wake up with erections like they used to when they were younger (nighttime erections are triggered in part by testosterone production while asleep). I've shared this hack with some of my friends and they've had similar bumps in their testosterone levels (and notices more nocturnal erections).
Doing these low dose vitamins is safer than most testosterone boosters on the market since they help you make more of your own testosterone naturally rather than introducing testosterone into the body which can be hard on the liver.
As with anything, check with your doctor/GP to see what they think and also to have your testosterone levels check. Good luck.
Vitamin D is not a true hormone and is not just excreted from your body like vitamins. We are only beginning to see its problems. If you are not making sufficient testosterone that can be a pituitary problem as that is the organ that makes the precursor to testosterone that will signal the testicles to produce testosterone. One of those pituitary problems can be a pituitary tumour.
Rather than grasp at poor science it is far better to know what is causing your problem and have it treated by a doctor. An initial blood test followed by a referral to an endocrinologist if you do have low testosterone is by far the best way forward.
