Hi there i need your help? I was circumsized 5days ago, the bandages came off yesterday and now i am struggling, i went and bought tight briefs but i cannot seem to get it right, they do not feel comfortable on me and now i cannot even get asleep as i have no way of covering up. I am really struggling at the moment to even just walk let alone function. I tried to put the gauge with vaseline around it but its so sensitive i just cannot. Please can anyone help me.. i am from Ireland if that changes anything.

It is a tough time and your pain is not unusual. Use melonin dressings with the shiny side coated in vaseline between your pants and penis. Do not wrap it, just use dressing as a way of keeping things still. It is the movement that causes the pain which is where the tight pants help. Do not be afraid to use Paracetamol and Ibuprofen regularly until pain subsides.

I could only imagine the intense pain you are in. Was there a medical reason for you becoming circumcised as an adult?

I had balanitis for the last few years and i was also diagnosed with something so i had to get it done. Sometimes i wish i didnt in so much pain but positive thinking ill be fine

Hi Mark, just seen that this post was a month ago. How’s it going? We had it done about the same time then! don’t listen to Bucky he’s from the anti circumcision movement and giving you that useless info after the op is just useless lol ignore him. I had my circumcision done almost 4 weeks ago now too what I did was wash with warm salt water on wound and head 4 times a day and I used Tesco (other brands available) men active protective shield pads stuck them into tight boxers put petroleum Vaseline onto the pad, and glans (if you can stand it) it restricts movement as they are thick and offers some protection against knocks I did that from day 2 or 3 now I’m just starting to wear tight boxers without pads or Vaseline. Still a little sensitive but can cope with it. With regards to sleeping I just slept naked on top of bed covers hasn’t been too bad of late to be too cold.
