I was 39 when I had a heart attack , didn't know I was having 1 , thought it was heartburn , was ill all weekend stayed in bed , went to doctors on Monday drove myselfel there and he took keys off me sent me to hospital had a attack, had a stent put in

Hi Christine. Sorry to hear about your heart attack. I, myself had 2 heart attacks this year and , like you, had stents put in. But here we are, surviving. Of course you will be anxious for a while about things. Every twinge will maybe be alarming for you. But dont be afraid to call the paramedics if you feel scared that something is going on again with your heart. That is what they are there for. It does not matter if it turns out to be nothing in the end. Over time you will get stronger, both in heart and mind. Talking about things is good for you - it releases built up stress and tension, and that is what is so good about this site. You can come on here any time and just talk with people. I also found that I had to distract my mind with anything I could - tv, games, writing. But the important thing to remember is that you are not alone. Many of us on here have gone through similar things. I wish you well.
