3mg neupro patch
Have you tried Pramipixol yet ?
I have been very busy, but am finding time to get on here tonight. Can you tell us what you have tried, since I do not recall posts from you? Instead of us listing all the emds you COULD try, if we know what you have tried already, then we can go from there. Several combinations of meds are used frequently, so if one med is not doing it, another may be the best idea to make a med "cocktail". In my experinece and all the RLSer's I know, usually combinations of meds work better than just one. And, there are many different classes of meds and forms of those.
Hi I found the neupro patch works for me but only on my arms if I stick it anywhere else it does not work I change it every day at 12:30 so it's kicked in for night time but like I said it only works if I stick them on the top of my arms anywhere else it fails !!
I use patches and tiny doses of Ropinorole when needed ( say half a 1 mg tablet at a time ) I don't like to take more than 1 mg Ropinorole per night as I don't like the after effects the next day . They kick in quicker than the patches and this seems to work for me most of the time. I I use a 3 mg patch a night
I too have just started taking the two medications, totally against my GP's advice, I might add. How is your GP regarding this approach?
I was just talking to my GP the other day about this and he said how much Ropinorole do you take and I said half a tablet a night and he was fine. What dosages are you on ?
Hi, I use Pramipexole, 2 tablets at 7.00 pm and they work for 24 hours, highly recommended!!
am GLAD it works for YOU.
ropinorole all sorts of dosage pramipexole even slow release ones all seem to work for a short while it.s like my body gets used to them and stop working fells like this is my last option other an a combination of drugs may i say that this site gives me hope thanks
That is VERY common with the dopmine med especially like Requip and Mirapex. I no longer feel after many studies have come out and I have talked to clinical advisors that ran some of these studies on Mirapex, itis the "first line of defense in RLS' My opinion, but shared by RLS experts in the US, especially Dr. Allen, who is a medical advisor for the US RLS Foundation. He says we have to get away from the dopmine meds , becaus obvioulsy this is not a perfect drug since dopamine uptake meds are intolerable by so many people, and if we van manage to keep it down, it does not work for lot of us.
Have you tried any of the pain meds... just wondering as you havent mentioned them..
I am on morphine since 2,5 years back. Works perfect both on pain, movements and jerkings. But due to my ileo ostomy I got unreliable results, decemer 6 th I got a spinal morphine pump. I am totally free from symptoms. Here in Sweden some scientist recently did a redearch about morphine and RLS the result was that it is an optimal choice for RLS.
