I am taking ropinoral and am taking more and more to try to ease my symptoms

A few days ago I had a touch of flu and didn`t take my other tablets which I take regularly,

i.e. Crestor, Venlafaxine, Propranolol and Prednisone.

I found that in those few days I didn`t take these tablets my RLS seemed better.

Could that be the case or was it just my imagination.

= ) Oh dear, I have no idea..

I wonder about Prednisone.. I tend to stay awake from that.

Sometimes I have to take it for my RA. Works great to lessen

the inflammation! =)

sometimes when we have a virus, for some reason our bodies are so busy fighting that, it seems RLS occurs less during those periods. Prednisone has always helped my RLS, and asthma.Venlafaxine is Effexor in the US, and it can make RLS worse, but not as often as SSRI's and tricyclics. It is called an SSNI. YOu say you are taking more and more Requip. Eventually you will most likely hit the augmentation stage, which is common, and i donl;t knwo of nayone who does not have that issyue at one time or another on dopamine againsit drugs. How muxh of THAT are you taking? I see several issues in your question. so, you also need to do some reading, suggested web site- rlshelp.org -the treatment page.

best web sites for accurate RLS info are rlshlep.org rls.org health.com (great RLS section) and for coping strategies rlsrebel.com whihc seals with rLS and not taking meds. She was not against meds, just did not use them herself. so, we can see all sides of it.

first one is rlshelp.org (again US based web sites", but mostly universal information, except some meds are not available in the UK, and vuce versa, They had oulled the Neupro patch her in the US, but never did in the UK. so when a new RLS drug was released last July, it was and is NOT a new drug, just a different form of an old drug. That has been misleading in some articles and reports. The nest one in the US is being oiuted as "new", but it is only a lower dose of the original one. so, you have to do your reasearch when you hear about a "new " drug for RLS in general, especialy lately. The last 3 drugs approved are only new forms of old drugs, so that is not much progress in that category. It is all documented, if anyone wants to read it.
