is diazapam ok for restless leg syndrom

my doctor prescribed diazapam for my restless leg syndrom plus i have a vitamin d deficancy
Diazepam sure will help you relax, but it is usually not used alone to treat rLS. But, it is all trial and error. Lots of us have VIT D deficiencies, as in the general population in England and in northern US. We do not get enough sun. VIT D may help with chronic pain, but not RLS at all. The diazepam should help you relax, and maybe the RLS will not kick in. :o)
Nightdancer, did you ever get your Vit D under control? I remember
telling you that my Rhuemy said that it helps get the pain under control
for a reason unknown to him! I will be a monkey's uncle because he was
correct !!! I have a bit more energy and less pain everywhere but my
tummy tonight. (Vicodin bellyache) It took about 4 months but here I am
with an acceptable level...I had to take some in the morning and at night.
I also got my blood up from 9.2 to 13.5...thanks to suggestions to drink
orange juice and take my iron suppliment on an empty tummy. I am
very pleased as my doctor is also. =)
Neither has helped any amount worth mentioning with the RLS...
Only Vicodin works extra good...too good, I sleep too much, too hard.
I wish my Vicodin would knock me out. Still working on the VIT D. Just got done with taking 50,000 units (not a typo) once a week for 12 wks. Have to get my bloodwork done and see what happened. This is my 2nd trial, so hope it has gone up some. My body does not store VIT d very well, apparently.
There will come a day soon when the amount of Vicodin will no longer
do the trick..I will have 2 more increases before only morphine will
work...I was told, warned that morphine will not be an option... Then
what?
I wonder why some people take to vitamin D and iron and some people seem
to just poop it out....Is the secret eating certain foods or taking a multivitiman,
empty tummy or what is the reason.?
