Is there anything from the health shops that is natural to have instead of pain killers?

I have been a sufferer for 35 years and have never had relief from anything over the counter. Others have spoken of magnesium etc. No doubt someone will be along before too long and can tell you of their successes.

I have never known pain like this as these two weeks has gotten worse, when i go to the gym from the night before boy i just push myself and releasie my legs are so tired. I keep pushing myself but i think this is wrong as i get so drained with the pain. Would the doctor give me something or would they do tests on me and take it from there i guess.

You have mentioned pain but no mention of typical rls symptoms. Have you been diagnosed with rls. Do you meet the criteria for rls. Are your symptoms only at night or worst at night. Do you get relief when you move, and is the urge to move something that is a compulsion and cannot be ignored. Does it affect your sleep.

And bear in mind that too much exercise can aggravate rls symptoms.

There isnt a test for RLS look at the question where someone asked, How do you know you have RLS. i have left a comment which tells you what a doctor should ask you or for you to know you have RLS. If you have all 4 of the criteria then you most likely have RLS.

Tooooo much exercise can for some make things worse.

Look at the medications that are used for RLS, DONT let your doctor give you something unsuitable, lots of doctors who dont know how to treat RLS give out meds. that can make it a ton times worse.

And no there is nothing that will help from a health shop that i know of...

There are other meds to try if you truly do have RLS. But, so far it does not seem that you are describing RLS. There are no medical tests for RLS. The doctor diagnoses from your description of the symptoms. You absolutely have to have that "urge to move" and the can't sit still" syndrome. Elisse's advice is good. all the info we could type here, are on the other question she mentioned.

there are no magic cures, no special diet, no herbal supplement that is approved for or that will actually work on RLS. a better description of your symptoms would help a lot. You did not give us much. :o)

get your GP to send you to a neurologist, these people will test you for Parkinsons, MS, RLS etc. like they did with me and tell you what you have and suggest meds to your GP

Some people like the compression, and others, like me, hate it. I cannot stand anything tight on my legs at all. But, it is a cheap thing to try anyway! ;o)
