I am on 3mg of Neupro dermal patches and have probably literally had a sleepless night due to restless legs. The cause? Possibly a couple of glasses of red wine yesterday lunchtime. I know that alcohol and some meds don't mix but can anyone else comment on such situations? Am I doomed to a life of no more booze?

Is alcohol a no-no with Neupro?
I am on 6mg Neupro patches and i still get bad times if i drink or not so needless to say i still drink socially
hi,when i was on the patch, drink did affect the way it worked for me, allthough i dont drink much, i changed to white wine, and that was lots better, might be worth a try.

Any stimulant with RLS is a no no for me, so I dont do any now, other unavoidable ones, I 100% caffeine and alcohol free. If I have a caffeine coffee I suffer now as my tolerance has become so minimal.
Life without booze is OK, I actually enjoy myself more, can drive and never have a headache!!
I am a high caffeine drinker - coffee and diet Coke round-the-clock - and have not noticed any effect on the effectiveness of the patch (very thankfully). Don't drink much, but see no problem with the patch when I do. Obviously, we're all different!
I dont drink any alchohol any more only a rare glass on special ocassions, it didnt effect me and i am using the patch. But, i guess if you think it might be, then its whether you sleep at night or drink and not sleep...as most are saying we are all different and have different experiences.
Like you, I am on 3mg of neupro dermal patches plus I take Mirapexine night and morning. I find that one or two drinks make little difference to the action of the medication but any more and the effects of RLS are worse. I think there is also a link with tiredness and I find that alcohol also makes me feel tired so I am quite willing to blame the tiredness rather than the, alcohol.
Very interesting. Now I know you can take Mirapexine with Neupro patches. I have some left over tablets and when the patches don't seem to be working I'll try them in an effort to get some sleep. As a matter of information, I find, if a patch wears off a couple of hours after application, if I take it off and put a new one on, the initial "boost" knocks the kicking legs out long enough for me to get me head down and sleep. My worry with all these meds is that they effet our brains and treatment for RLS, from what I've read of the postings from you good folks, is simply trial and error, hit and miss. Scarey.l
