Hi everyone just an update to let you know I got my email from neurologist at last which I will take to my gp tomorrow.

I thought it was codeine he was recommending but it is Dihydrocodeine and clonazepam.

Counting the hours to get my medication and fingers crossed this helps.

That's good. Dihydrocodeine is stronger than codeine. Take every 4 to 6 hours to avoid mini withdrawals

We can of course all react differently to Meds. but for me taking one dose of Dihydrocodeine most nights of 60mg and occasionally after one hour another30mg if my legs are still active has caused no probs with Addiction, Tolerance or Mini Withdrawals, however Constipation and borderline insomnia are both issues.

I’m so hopeful this will work for me and the clonazepam will help with insomnia

Please read up on clonazepam. It has many unwanted side effects and it definitely shouldn't be first line treatment for insomnia or RLS. It is exceedingly difficult to get off of when it stops working which it probably will in a while and then will make things worse. I think getting off of clonazepam when it stopped working was worse than getting off of pramipexole even though the pramipexole withdrawal was really bad. All the diazepams are difficult and reading up on them may make you think twice about using them.

. Also although codeine will usually work for RLS, it can make one feel very "stoned" and is much less workable than methadone and buprenorphine. And it can cause mini-withdrawals as it wears off between doses. It could work for you if that is all you can get but is not the best for getting symptom free.
