Tramadol & iron absorption

I didn't see anything in the study about iron absorption.

It did say "Serum ferritin, increased upon tramadol and tapentadol treatment; transferrin decreased upon tramadol exposure, while hepcidin decreased for tramadol highest dose and tapentadol lowest dose" and that "low transferrin and high ferritin, a combination that, in the present study, is seen for tramadol, may indicate inflammation"

My takeaway is that both are helpful in increasing ferritin which we want.
