Have had RLS for 30 years, thanks mom.Tried several different meds

None worked until I found Tramadol.

Was on 150 MG for 10 years then dropped it to 100 MG. Worked about 80%. Doc added 1 MG pramipexole a d I've been on for two years with great results.

As Joolsg and SueJohnson both advised in replies to your previous posts, you are on twice the acceptable maximum daily dose of 0.5 mg of pramipexole for RLS, you will almost certainly suffer worsening of RLS caused by the pramipexole, and the longer that you are on it the more difficult you will find getting off it.

They have given you guidance on reducing/coming off pramipexole, and Sue has given further detailed advice on iron levels etc and offered to review any other medications that you are on.

I appreciate that you may feel that you don't want to try to change something that *seems* to be working for you now. But while your doctor may seem to have helped you in the short term, in the long run they have done you a disservice.

I replied to your previous post.Pramipexole and other dopamine agonists are now only to be prescribed in 'end of life' scenarios. That's how dangerous they are.

You are on double maximum dose. Your RLS WILL become very severe.

Please take the advice we have given you.

Hey, I see you live in Wisconsin. I'm across the lake in Michigan. I'm glad to hear that tramadol works for you. It works for me too, for 25 years.

Like you, I got my RLS from my mom. Have you tried an iron supplement? Chelated iron helped me tremendously.

Be careful with pramipexole, because it eventually will make your RLS worse, and I'd hate to see that happen to you. Perhaps your Dr. will restore your original dose of tramadol. Take care.
