It should be OK for RLS. Ask your doctor when to take.

Sounds as though you're taking this orally rather than as another infusion: your doctor should advise on taking, but diarrhoea and nausea are common side-effects so you may want to take this into account. Patient info leaflet linked here:

Yes it will be. Thanks.

I was more wondering about it with regards to the RLS symptoms but appreciate the info and link! 😊

It sounds like the doctor has given it to you to prevent hypophosphatemia following your iron infusion. You should really be tested before and after your infusion to see whether you actually need it. Perhaps you have been tested already?Hypophosphatemia is a little known side effect of iron infusions. I experienced it after my most recent iron infusion and took phosphate tablets to correct it. The hypophosphatemia wasn't a pleasant experience. I don't recall any increase in RLS from the phosphate tablets.

Yes, at my last blood test my phosphate levels were a bit low.

Are the tablets effervescent? 🤢

Thanks!

Aah, that makes sense. From memory the tablets were lightly effervescent. The taste wasn't bad. Good luck with it.
