Just watched you well done you did well. Glad to see Dr Spinks with you. Thank you so much! I am sure anyone watching and now realise this is me or are now aware that taking ropinerole it could happen to them. This has been a huge step forward letting people know about RLS and what happened to you. Being on a national tv program is big. So proud of you. 👏

So proud of you. It was good to know that Julian was there too for moral support. It was excellent. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is huge publicity for RLS-UK. You are a shining star. 💛⭐🤗🤗👏

Good job, very informative. I think the Doctor hit the nail on the head with his comment that dopamine causes what ever activity you are doing that makes you feel good, will be heightened with dopamine agonists. The medication literature lists gambling and increased sexual behavior and I always thought that’s not me. But it’s the “what makes you feel good will increase” that patients should be aware of. Mine was compulsive eating and crochet. I would crochet almost every waking hour and since I hardly slept, my house looks like a crochet museum. I also gained 40 pounds. And it just not Ropinirol. Mine was Pramipexole. I wish this was more out in the public space in the US.

I to agree that “What makes you feel good will increase” was a fantastic way to clarify this side effect.

Mine is still compulsive eating and shopping. I have the support of family and a GP who actually listens. Glad it is now public knowledge.

That rang a bell, my obsession was cross stitch. i spent an a solute fortune on cross stitch kits, and embroidery kits. A lot of them ended up in charity shops. I still love my stitching, but not to the extremes I used to.

You did a sterling job & was very impressed with your composure & was very articulate about how you've been affected by the medication you were prescribed. Well done Snoops 👏
