Hi everyone, sorry not kept up with the lovely encouraging replies. Re the people that have suggested I speak to someone from RLS UK, I believe there is someone that maybe joining me on GMB. Thank you for the suggestions, I have taken it all in honestly, and I will re read everything before I go on. I just want to represent us all so well and do us and the problems we have justice. Many thanks again.

GMB on Tuesday

Well done Sue. Speaking out about this VERY common side effect is so important.
A few years back someone on here was told by their GP to 'get a grip' and join GAMBLERS anonymous!
And recently GPs have been telling patients ICD only happens at high dose. That is totally incorrect.
Another GP told a patient it only happens if the patient has a predisposition to gambling/risky sex. Again- complete nonsense.
At very low doses these drugs completely change brains and people act totally out of character. And it can happen years after you start the meds so no one makes the connection.
Off to Spain for 6 days.
I will toast you from there!
Well done you star!
That’s good to hear to have someone from RLS-UK with you. I am sure you will do well and speak for all of us. Look forward to seeing you on the program. Thank you for putting yourself forward. 😊
Well done Snoops, you’re a star. Everyone has to know what we have to go from RLS. Thank you sincerely XX God bless you
Hi Snoops- when will this be on & where as not too clear on post.??I know us RL sufferers are getting a bit of press now which is great but please don't let it be all about the ' salacious' effects that some drugs have had & make sure those of us who don't have problems like that but nevertheless have a daily (&nightly) struggle in trying to control & live with this debilitating condition.
Own that microphone & champion RL research & education in the health service. Many thanks & good luck xx
Hi there, it is Tuesday at 8.15 (unless WW3 breaks out!). It’s funny you say that, as I have said that I don’t want the interview to focus on that, fortunately we have a Dr from RLS-UK on with me too. My focus on relation to RLS education is that I want there in the first instance a) blood tests to identify any deficiencies, b) for ‘the experts’ to take RLS as a serious debilitating condition and c) for more research to be done into holistic methods as first line attack, eg I now use magnesium spray and a Revitive and it keeps RLS at bay mostly.
Thanks for that Snoops but still dont know if on radio or tv & the channel (s) sorry if you have said but have missed it.
And Wow we have the same routine in the fight against RL & nocturnal walkabouts although I must admit Pregabalin is helping a lot so far so fingers crossed that will continue.
Be grateful for the info re broadcast anyway as will definitely watch/listen to it.

Here in a link to interview from BBC radio. On Tuesday I'm on GMB on TV at 8.15am 👍🏻
Was it you on Womans Hour? If so well done. Not an easy one.
good luck snoops and thank you so much for doing this. The audience of gmb is huge and therefore the awareness this will spread is outstanding.
was it you Snoops this morning on GMB. I thought you were excellent. Very clear and fluent and put across the ‘wrongness’ of the DA ICD gambling scandal very well.
I’m so glad you are well now plus I hope your RLS is well controlled .
I was a little dismayed at the quote about a maximum of 20% of people who take DAs getting augmentation which simply is a huge underestimate. Plus I thought a few more things could have been said about the problems associated with DAs though I do appreciate there was limited time in such an interview
But totally well done Snoops…🤗
