I have recently been diagnosed with severe osteoporosis and awaiting assessment for treatment. Has anyone had experience of these drugs and if so did they affect RLS?

Any experience of drug treatment for osteoporosis

not severe osteoporosis but I do have it. I started taking sodium alendronate last august and haven’t noticed rls getting worse. I am currently weaning off of mirapex, down to .125 mg, which I’m going to cut in half very soon. In my mind, I question whether or not gabapentin was a factor in my osteoporosis by age 60.
Alendronic acid tablet o ce a week did not affect my RLS...magnesium spray from Harrogate company really helping...
Yes, I've been getting a Prolia shot every 6 months. It has no effect on my RLS, but I take no drug for RLS.
I also have severe osteoporosis and have been taking once a week Alendronate Sodium 70mg. I have not had any symptoms of RLS while taking this Rx and I have been taking it for 5 years now. Just for your information, here in the US (I don’t know what country you live in) the recommended daily supplements are Calcium 1,200mg, 800-1,000 IU for Vitamin D3 and Vitamin C 1,000mg. I hope this helps and the best of luck to you!
