hey everyone

mum is still in hospital with constant nausea. we have found that taking half a dose doesn’t affect nausea sadly

however we have added a half dose at midday and come evening ( after 6pm dose) mum is a lot brighter

mum is currently taking

1mg 6pm

1mg 11pm

midday 1mg

any thoughts welcome

I presume you mean 0.1mg x 3?The only thing that I can think of is a bowel blockage. Otherwise- she would experience nausea when she started Buprenorphine rather than 3 months afterwards.

I still think you should push for a second opinion from a gastro expert.

we have a third opinion, ( 2 agrees extra test needed, 1, unfortunately the chief, says no

we will hear on monday

mum had colonoscopy in october ( 1 months after nausea started) and it was clear

hence why he doesn’t think it needs repeating x

Is she having good bowel motions. ?

yes she had horrible diarrhoea with a bowel infection

Have they prescribed VSL probiotics?Most good enterologists will use a good probiotic to introduce good bacteria into the gut. Especially after strong antibiotics.

Most pharmacies sell it. It's expensive- but it works miracles for gut infections.My daughter developed IBD after catching Salmonella. She was ill for ages. She took VSL every day for 2 months and it really helped. Quite quickly.

Worth a try.
