Dental Anaesthetic Aggravate RLS??

I had a root canal treatment yesterday and my RLS seems 1000s times worse.

My usual 250mcg Buprenorphine didn’t work and I had to take 30mg Codeine/paracetamol for dental pain which as expected only helped for 5-6 hours.

So desperate this morning I have just taken another .2 Buprenorphine as I seriously need a few hours sleep so I can function today.

Last time I took an extra Buprenorphine my bp crashed so we will see what happens!

My question is has anyone else’s RLS got way worse after dental anaesthetic??

Thanks, is that what’s commonly used by dentists? Have u had a similar reaction?

Would there be an alternative though?

I will contact dentist and check.

It is used by some dentist to make the normal anaesthetic a bit stronger.I get a reaction from it, so now my dentist doesn't use it on me.

There are different anaesthetics they use , so well worth having a chat about what choices you have.

Good luck.

I have had several dental procedures in the past 2 years and find that my RLS disappears for about 3 weeks after the procedures. My RLS also disappears after minor surgical procedures.
