I am on a low dose of methadone and don't feel anything about my RLS, but I am challenged with discomfort and restlessness (not RLS) in my body about 2 hours before I have to take the pill? Do any of you have experience with this, and any good advice? Kh

RLS and methadone
What happened to Buprenorphine?Last time you posted, your doctor agreed to give you Buprenorphine pills.
Why did you switch to methadone?
If you get all body restlessness 2 hours before your evening dose, it could be because your dose is too low.
The Mayo Clinic Algorithm sets out the average effective dose as between 5 and 20mg.
I know some people on here also split the dose and take a morning and evening dose. Discuss with your doctor and see whether a small increase, or taking a split dose 12 hours apart, prevents the body restlessness you are experiencing.
Thank you❤️🙏 I Take temgesic? Maby its not methadone?
I ask for what you say’d. Hope its The same
Temgesic is Buprenorphine.I originally took 0.4mg in one dose at 9 pm. But I had restlessness the next day between 7 and 9pm every night.
So I split the dose.
I now take 0.2mg at 9pm and 0.2mg at midnight. No RLS. No restlessness.
So, try splitting the dose and take 3 hours before bed and another dose just before you fall asleep.
If that doesn't help, you can add another 0.2mg.
Most people on this forum take an average dose of between 0.4 and 0.8mg.
I also find that Accord brand works far better than Sandoz or Morningside.
