In my recent post, I forgot to ask how to email Dr. M. Buchfuhrer. I have had several so with him over the past several years. However, I love in Illinois and he is in California. I have tried the following - somno5586@outlook.com. I have not been able to reach him. Can someone give me the correct way to reach him? Thank you.

That is the correct email.Dr Buchfuhrer can be quite particular.

He won't reply unless you address him as Doctor ( not Dr).

Or he may be out of town or very busy.

But he does usually respond.

I'm sorry but when I go to that site, I don't find anyway to email him. Evidently I am doing something wrong.

You just email in the normal way using your email address and send to Somno5586@outlook.com

You don't need to use a link on his website.

Thank you. Can't believe I am so dumb. I will try that

If you click on the yellow email button on his webpage rlshelp.org you will get indeed this emailaddress. Maybe try again? Or try to contact the head/coordinator of the South Californian support group, someone called Susan.

But - if you have been his patient, hasn’t he used some tele health system through which you can contact him again if needed?

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I tried his email at rlshelp.org and I do not see a yellow email button. I only see information about his office (phone, fax , etc.,)

It is just above the text in green ‘expert medical consultation for rls’

Maybe his mailbox is full. Or he is occupied elsewhere and hasn’t had time to answer yet. I would try again. Or phone.

Thank you so much to all of you who responded so quickly. Once I sent the email correctly, it worked. He has already responded. Thanks again

I called his office and was told that I can only contact him through an office visit.

he does video visits. I see him 3x a year on a Zoom call

Where do you live? I have had 3 Zoom visits with him during COVID. He told me he cannot do them anymore since I live in Illinois.

California is no longer allowing him to prescribe medication via zoom calls to patients in states where he is not licensed. I have to fly to California twice a year to see him to get my prescription filled in Utah.
