Unable to access HealthUnlocked

It is very frustrating to not be able to access HealthUnlocked. 505 Bad gateway is what I usually get. Granted the one today which lasted at least 1 and 3/4 hours was unusual, but it often happens for a few minutes. My question is whether this only happens from the US.

Hello Sue, not sure what you’re telling me but I don’t have any issues with picking up Health Unlocked posts in the UK. I know they were experimenting with something to do with accessing something or other. Sorry Sue don’t really know what I’m talking about but I know something has changed

It must be the US. And right after I wrote this it went off again and was off again for another hour.

Actually, since i wrote that earlier, i'm now experiencing issues accessing the site.

It's not just the US, believe me! It happens regularly with me in the UK, very annoying.

I experienced the same last night and this morning and it is still being temperamental, so it is not only the US. It has been reported to HU this morning but am not hopeful as was also reported on 13th and 18th of this month

Hi Sue. I am no expert on the subject but from what I have been able to learn all I can suggest is that you check that your browser (Edge, Chrome, etc.) is updated to the latest version as the error manifests itself when their is an incompatibility in HTTP protocol between server (website) and client (your device).

I use both firefox and chrome and the same thing happened on both last night and I had reinstalled firefox the day before due to another problem.

It happens to me here in ireland-- but I depends on my phone's access to internet.

Usually it is a question of moving the phone to get a better signal.

Otherwise I haven't noticed any particular issues with HU.

That's an idea. I use my desktop or laptop which are close together. I will try using my laptop.

I am an expert and the error you are getting is a server error and has nothing to do with your location or the browser you are using.

So it is a problem with the HealthUnlocked server?

It is an internal error on their end. But I think it must have been a 503 error, which means basically that their back end cannot be reached or it timed out. I am sure they are working on it, these things usually do not happen unnoticed.

It was a 504 error. I incorrectly said it was a 505 error.

I wonder would you have the time to briefly explain how the internet gets to us-- ISP, server etc are foreign languages to me. Thanks.

RLS is boring enough on it's own though I do not start to explain client server requests. 😀

The links from the email didn't work on my pbone before I got up but navigating to the site and selecting posts from the news feed worked. The email links seems to work ok now.

Lately I gave had this regularly, but usually for short time spells. Although I do not always test frequently whether I can access again. I usually check HU several times (3-4x) a day.

Have you contacted HU?

HU have been contacted and also on the 13th and 18th of this month about this.

No. It's been happening over the last month.The Admin team are aware of it.

I live in the US and have never had this issue. I’ve always been able to log into Health unlocked with no problems.
