Lymecycline connection

Just a quick heads up that I have noticed a connection with the antibiotic lymecycline that I take for my acne and rls. Namely that i was forced to stop taking it for a week due to prescription error from clown shop gps.

Started again last night and immediately had a bad night rls wise which made me aware that I'd had a pretty good week without it.

Could be coincidence but I'm going to stop taking them again and see. My acne has improved anyway so can take the chance.

Wishing a good night's sleep to all.

Some antibiotics exacerbate my RLS, others don't.

I understand how awful acne can be but be aware that antibiotics can cause gut dysbiosis which can result in other health problems. As a teenager i was regularly prescribed antibiotics for acne. I wish I had never taken them. I'm surprised that they're still being used.

Today I was prescribed antibiotic metronidazole topical cream .75% for my rosacea. Since I'm traveling for a week I plan on waiting to try it. It apparently has all sorts of interactions including risk of neuropathy. Yikes!

Ah man rosacea can be tough I really feel for you. A friend of mine has recently found some success using sudacreme if you haven't already tried it. Rotten to have to live with these skin issues on top of everything else especially when the prescribed meds have such detrimental effects. I hope it turns out okay for you

Thanks for your concern. I looked up Sudocrem and found this: The benzyl alcohol in Sudocrem may be irritating to sensitive skin, especially in people who have rosacea.
