Rotigotine ?

DR. prescribed Rotigtine, 1mg every 24hrs patch. I've declined "not" to take it for fear of effects down the road. I guess the Dr thought at my age (74) I may not be around by the time severe effects "could" happen.. So my question is, seeing that I have a 90 day supply (VA automatically sends persciptions) on hand, can I use this medication on a as needed basis like for a day of air travel or going to a theater event, and if so how and when would I take it, also would I skip the Pregabalin (350mg) for that day?

Yes you could certainly use it for air travel but since it is equivalent to 1.5 mg of ropinirole, I would cut it in sixths to equal .25 mg of ropinirole. It will take at least 3 hours after applying a patch to work and it can take up to just over 24 hours for your body to fully absorb the drug. So it is NOT appropriate for going to a theater event.

No you would definitely NOT want to stop the pregabalin as you would suffer withdrawal effects.

So are you saying take 2/3 of rotigtine, start it the day before and the day of travel, seeing a 24hr absorption time? Also visited Vanderbilt (Nashville) to make appointment with Dr Kanika Bagai. (As you recommended, thank you) I need to "first" arrange for a proper referral from another Dr. in order for them to schedule an appointment. Has to be from a referral. So I'm going through all the channels that are needed. Thanks for the advice.
