Travelling with opioids

Hello everyone, Last May I flew to Chicago with gabapentin & low dose oxycodone in my hand luggage with prescription attached with no problems.

In 2 weeks I will be flying to Phoenix, Arizona & now am on low dose buprenorphine instead of oxycodone.

Has anyone had problems flying to the US carrying low dose buprenorphine?

It seems to be fine as long as you keep Buprenorphine in its original box/container, declare it at customs and show your prescription.

I've had no trouble with methadone travel, both domestic and international.I keep in the original bottle and have a doctor's letter for international, but so far I've never been questioned.

I take the same medication and have for just over three years and I have gone back-and-forth to different places with no issue so far.💜

Thanks Ticki. Good to know. I assume I just walk through customs/security etc as usual?But with the assurance of knowing if someone stops me I can get my GPs letter out of my hand luggage & wave it at them.
