Anyone out there try Lamictal for treatment resistant depression with concurrent RLS? It has been suggested to me as an addition to the Buproprion, which has not fully managed the depression that is currently severe.
I have found a few articles that it helps RLS and a few that it aggravates it.

It may or may not be safe for RLS. It can in some cases cause ICD. Wellbutrin is the best antidepressant and Trazodone is also good and both are safe for RLS.
I am already on Buproprion at the max dosage. I hadn’t seen mention of ICD, but it can cause Steven Johnson Syndrome. I did not tolerate Trazadone in the past and my Doctor doesn’t want me to take it withthe Buprenorphine.
didn’t the Effexor drive the RLS through the roof? I tried the years ago and it was awful for the RLS. Was she put on both at the same time., or can she tell which one caused the problem?
I started lamotrigine (Lamictal) two+ years ago to treat seizures and I didn’t notice any pact on my RLS, which I’ve had for over 30 years. I also started Gabapentin two+ years ago which gave me very little relief from my RLS. About six months ago I switched from Gabapentin to Horizant+Pregabalin, which still gave me very little relief from RLS. BUT, I added Suboxone (Buprenorphine) 2 weeks ago and it has completely eliminated my RLS symptoms.
