Anyone out there try Lamictal for treatment resistant depression with concurrent RLS? It has been suggested to me as an addition to the Buproprion, which has not fully managed the depression that is currently severe.
I have found a few articles that it helps RLS and a few that it aggravates it.
It may or may not be safe for RLS. It can in some cases cause ICD. Wellbutrin is the best antidepressant and Trazodone is also good and both are safe for RLS.
I am already on Buproprion at the max dosage. I hadn’t seen mention of ICD, but it can cause Steven Johnson Syndrome. I did not tolerate Trazadone in the past and my Doctor doesn’t want me to take it withthe Buprenorphine.

What about Wellbutrin?
An Ex was put on it for Depression in addition to her Effexor - nasty side effects (to say the least!). If you try it do be aware of the side effects.
didn’t the Effexor drive the RLS through the roof? I tried the years ago and it was awful for the RLS. Was she put on both at the same time., or can she tell which one caused the problem?
She didn't have RLS, just the post-partum depression. Her child is now 20 years old and she's still on the Effexor!
