I’m in the US (CA). I’ve been on Suboxone for two months and it handles my RLS quite well. I’m currently taking about .4 mg (1/5 of a 2mg strip) nightly. I’ve gotten over the tiredness that arose for the first month or so, but the constipation is no fun. I’ve read one study that says buccal applications cause much less constipation for most people. Can anyone vouch for this?
Thanks

I can’t. But reading many posts here (have done for some 7+ years now), I learned we all react differently. If you can get Belbuca, it may be worth a short trial (a week or two?) to find out.
Sadly, some people develop opioid induced constipation.I take magnesium citrate every night, drink a pint of water before every meal and eat a large portion of brassica every night with dinner.
If I miss a night of this regime, I get constipation.
Well I'd never heard the term brassica before: Brassica vegetables, including bok choy, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, kale, kohlrabi, rutabagas, and turnips. Apparently I eat loads of brassica as well! You learn something new all the time!
I’m not sure if you mean sublingual or actually in the cheek (buccal). I take it under the tongue and while constipation was a problem, it’s easily handled a couple of ways, either Miralax or Colace daily vs eating a healthier diet and finding out what works best for you. Mine is either Miralax or Colace (I alternate them), but truly better diet can work wonders. Even just adding prunes daily can help some people. Have you tried any of these ways?
