can anyone tell me if you can take the odd diazepam while taking gabapentin. I have a bit if anxiety now and again

Yes but why not take trazodone which helps anxiety and insomnia and in a few cases actually helps RLS.

Well I will ask my doc, takes forever to be able to speak to one of course. Can I take either diazepam or trazodone with gabapentin though, I am on 400mg dose. Doing a bit of travelling tomorrow which sometimes causes me anxiety

My doc had a hissy fit for even suggesting that I would like to have an Rx for 3-4 tablets of diazepam per month. Like I'm too stupid to know not to OD. So sick of the medical professionals and their smug holier-than-though attitude toward patients. My only hope is that when they get seriously ill, and they will, that they get the same doctor attitude from their docs that we get from ours.

Try to find another doctor that has some understanding of your need to treat anxiety. It's a common problem that has many good medicines to treat it. Taking a few Xanax now and then as needed should Not be something you need to stress about!Find another doctor. There are some good ones out there.

Yes. I do. Occasionally I will get flash backs of withdrawal from Ropinirole and it causes anxiety. I take the occasional diazepam.
