Previously earlier this year I seen a video from a neurologist or it was on the restless leg syndrome foundation website, it was a video explaining to get this RLS disease under control before worry about other symptoms, it was kinda address to psychiatrist, to ignore the psychotic symptoms, and treat the disease first, this video was very helpful advocating for the patient, now it's been removed, and I can't find it, it was helpful and I managed to get the coroner's court to intervene into her care, and the psychiatrist placed the patient on iron therapy, however the iron therapy doesn't stop the disease, and the antipsychotic and antidepressant have caused unwanted effects in the brain and are getting ignored, I'm told by police her brain is stuffed, these medications have this effect on RLS patients, dose anyone know what video I'm talking about and where I can find it online?

Several RLS experts talk about RLS and have videos online. The US RLS foundation has web videos for members at rls.org, but you have to be a member to watch the videos and we can't repost here if they're not publicly available.
I can direct you to Dr Andy Berkowski's website and a video by Dr Winkelman.
In the meantime, anti depressants and anti psychotics actually trigger and worsen RLS.
The only safe anti depressants are welbutrin and trazodone, and the psychiatrist would have to monitor any switch to new meds.
Is the person you care for on any other medications? Sifrol or Ropinirole? Have full panel, morning, fasting blood tests been taken and serum ferritin measured? Raising serum ferritin above 100, preferably 200, and switching to RLS safe anti depressants should be first treatment steps.
I'm so sorry you are having to fight so hard on behalf of the person you care for. The medical ignorance around this disease is terrible.

Thanks for your reply. Her RLS is mismanaged, currently locked up, because of insomnia causing suicidal depression, locked in a psych ward, not allowed to call home or have visitor, and they obviously nothing about how serious this disease is, I will look for those videos, thank you.
I am so, so sorry at this appalling treatment. Any one of us would be exactly the same with untreated RLS made worse by medical ignorance. I really hope Dr Brendon Yee can step on and help.
Oh my! I would only offer a new book - not really a self-help book but a discussion on metabolism, diet and mental health. Brain Energy by Christopher Palmer. Long video below...use the "see more..." for time stamps to watch just the appropriate topics.

Wow, that is one seriously long video!
You can skip a lot - use the timestamps
I will try watching it with my partner, she is getting out of hospital today, her head is stressed out on psychotropic drugs, I may have to watch it by myself. I feel I've become a RLS patient carer expert, I've had to identify this disease and provide recommendations for her and give her doctors notice about her medications. She would often go to the hospital and stay over night, no sleep, and get sent home the next morning, get told there was nothing wrong with her, I really hope she can see a specialist soon, because without lorazepam she will struggle with insomnia again.
