Jeffrey S. Durmer, MD, PhD, a neurologist, is on the Board of Directors of the RLS Foundation although his main focus seems to be on sleep. However I am sure he would be knowledgeable. He is the Chief Medical Officer at Nox Health. You might ask if he prescribes opioids.

The following two doctors have recommended to the RLS Foundation but you would also need to check if 1) they follow the Mayo Clinic Updated Algorithm on RLS as the person who recommended them may have been prescribed DAs and been satisfied with them and 2) whether they prescribe opioids.

Rajeev Kumar (303) 357-5455 Englewood

Marc Wasserman (303) 265-3390 Littleton

If you use one of them let me know how it goes so I can put it in my notes.

Thanks so much, Sue. I'll get back with you once I've gotten an office visit with one of these Doctors.

You are a light in this dark RLS world,

Chris

Climber, did you ever see a neurologist in Denver? If so, any feedback?

I have not scheduled a visit either any of them yet. Right after sending that note, I took the Mayo Algorithm to my PCP and she was good enough to prescribe buprenorphine. I've been mostly RLS free since then. However, now I'm about to try dipyridamole and or clonidine in an attempt to get off of the buprenorphine, which gives me very bad constipation, urinary retention and D & A.

Hopefully one of these will work, since gabapentin was a dud.
