Can anyone tell me what is the maximum dose of pregabalin I can take living with PD?

Pregabalin and PD
You need to tell us more. How much are you taking now? What other medicines are you taking for your Parkinson's? What other medicines and OTC supplements besides these are you taking?
There is a separate Parkinson's Disease forum. Did you mean to post in the RLS forum?
I don't have Parkinson and what makes you think that I have it with my question?I have RLS and I am on PD.
My doctors are only prescribing 75mg Pergabalin and that's not doing anything for my restless legs! I am upping the 75mg to 150mg sometimes to calm my legs so I can get some sleep! I know I am not supposed to do that but after 3 nights of no sleep I have to do something!
I see others are taking much more and other more stronger medication and I am wondering if my doctors fo my PD don't understand RLS to prescribe the correct dose for me. Thanks
PD is used as shorthand for Parkinson's Disease. That's why both Suejohnson and I assumed you meant you had it.
What is PD in your case?
I am no expert- but since 2012 have been on a variet of prescriptions for RLS. Finally prescribed pregabalin, first at the low dose of 75 mg. Its my understanding that the dosage is typically increased and Im now on 225 mg which gives me a good amount of relief. Sleeping 6 to 7 hours.
75mg is quite low to be able to address RLS, it's not surprising you end needing more than that. I would talk to your nephrologist and explain to them that you need a higher dose. For reference I am taking 165mg Extended Release Lyrica (Pregabalin) and even that is not enough for me to get a full night sleep.
I wanted to also add - at some point I had a conversation with my PD nurse and told her that I think my RLS is too sever, and beyond what the clinic knows how to handle or is willing to prescribe. I told her that I think I need to find a specialist and that is what I ended up doing. The clinic is not going to prescribe opioids for instance if you need to. I did coordinate everything the specialist tried with the clinic.
The clinic told me to see my family doctor and he sent me to a sleep clinic which I already have a CPAP machine. What kind Specialist did you go to?
A Neurologist specializing in Movement Disorders. But sleep clinics are often also a good option for RLS.
He/She means Peritoneal Dialysis I believe, op - you confused people here because RLS and Parkinson Disease are related (both brain function disorder).
The answer for Peritoneal Dialysis is 200mg, but you can just ask your care team.
Since you have kidney problems the pregabalin needs to be kept low and you need to be monitored for adverse effects. Talk to your doctor about it although bumblebee_tuna has both conditions so he knows more about this then I do.
