What Bloodwork for initial RLS appointment?

I will be seeing someone in Dr. Winkelman's office next month. For my first visit, I would like to have all relevant bloodwork done BEFORE my appointment: iron, folate, B, etc. For example, there seem to be different "iron" tests. This will give us a heads-up on my RLS and something to talk about. My PCP does not know exactly which tests are relevant (she is a cardiologist). Any advice on what she should order? Thanks

Test for vitamins B1, B3, B6, B12, D3, K2 and potassium and copper. Ask for a full iron panel. Stop taking any iron supplements including multivitamins that have iron in them 48 hours before the test, fast after midnight and have your test in the morning. When you get the results, ask for your ferritin and transferrin saturation (TSAT) numbers. It probably wouldn't hurt to have a C-reactive protein test which checks for inflammation.
