It's generally considered safe for RLS.

Common side effects: dry mouth, bitter taste. Uncommon side effects: Anxiety; dizziness; fatigue; headache; nausea; sleep disorders; vomiting.

Only recommended for short term use: risk of tolerance and withdrawal symptoms.

If taken with pregabalin (haven't checked back on your meds) "might affect the ability to perform skilled tasks"

The BNF lists so many possible drug interactions, often saying "might...." But be careful if driving!

Good luck - hope you get that sleep!!

They don't have any effect on RLS but I didn't manage to get any sleep still.

zopiclone didn't help my sleep at all but I was excessively sleepy all the next day and couldn't drive. So many differing responses. Hope it gives you a good night's sleep.

Hi Rayme, thankyou for replying, well I took one pill last night in great anticipation, it did not help me to sleep and certainly did nothing for my RLS,did get off to sleep but wakened after an hour with bad RLS.got to sleep around 5ish so I will not take another Zopiclone.

I’ve been taking Zopiclone at that dose (3.75mg) for some years and have not found it makes my RLS worse. It has been very effective in ensuring sleep.
