perhaps this topic already covered. Are any of you using it? What forms? i.e. tincture, gummies, brownies? Hybrid, Indica, sativa? I have had recent onset of late afternoon RLS. Very aggravating-dealing with nighttime is bad enough. Donn’t like using cannabis except at bedtimes. Difficult to deal with when we are eating dinner.

Medical Cannabis

My husband's Parkinson's symptoms have recently worsened. For various reasons we were tapering off the Mucuna Pruriens he was taking and so this is some what to be expected.
We stopped tapering off and have stayed and what we feel is an acceptable level. He seems to have less balance and his muscle are more ridged and stiff. He is worst at night and for the first time since he has had Parkinson's he complained of pain. Also he is needing to urinate more often at night which has kept us both up as he also needs my assistance.
A friend of mine brought over some cannabis gummies for him to try. He now takes one at bedtime and it has made a tremendous difference. She also recommended a condom catheter for him and this has also worked wonders. We now get a good nights sleep. Before he was fatigued and drained. Needless to say if we don't get enough sleep we can't get better.
We have applied for a cannabis medical card and can't wait to get it. We are just learning what form of cannabis is best for Parkinson's. So far of what I have read says that high CBD to THC ratio is best for Parkinson's. The gummies he has been taking contain 20 mg CBD and 10 mg THC each. I should mentioned that even before Parkinson's my husband had Involuntary leg movement at night, like one every 7 to 14 seconds for hours. So the cannabis has helped this too.
I use Indica .5 mg tincture at night. Go right to sleep and really helps control RLS. I also noticed that a small amount of coffee helps. I have coffee before a movie or plane ride. The coffee has something to do with adenosine. Need to research how it actually works.
