After discovering this site five days ago, I am now questioning everything!! I have twiddled my hair since I was a child and in the last four or five years, I am now an excessive twiddler and have coined the term Restless Hair Twiddler! Anyone else out there recognise this as a symptom of RLS?

Anyone out there a twiddler?
It's not a recognised symptom of RLS.
Hair twirling can be a response to stress or anxiety.
It can also be a self soothing behaviour, or a means of obtaining sensory input (as associated with neurodivergence - eg ADHD, sensory processing disorder and autism spectrum disorders).
thanks for replying.... good info...
How strange. I have RLS and I am also a hair twiddler. Had no idea they were related. I tend to do it when I am stressed. How do you cope with your RLS? I have recently warned myself down to 0.5mg of Ropinirole , but really struggling to go lower. Suffer with RLS in and off through the day and manage about 5 hours sleep a night.
Hello from the US. No need for you to suffer like this...consider ordering red strain kratom, from kraatje.eu in the netherlands, and it will get you off the DA and allow you to sleep. You can then decide on your long term plan.
thanks! Never heard of this. What is it? Do you have personal experience of using it to get off DAs? Thanks for any help yiu can give me.
hi. yes, I use it every night. I was told about it on this forum and it can be lifesaving when you have limited options. especially if you need an opioid-like solution to get off the DA's or you just need to get some sleep.
you can order any red strain powder or capsules and then start with 1/2 a teaspoon to see how you react. Rls should be gone within minutes. Plenty of people on this forum use it, although it is not necessarily a great long-term solution. feel free to ask any other questions or just put "kratom" in the search bar.
