Sleep study in one month

My neurologist has scheduled a sleep study for me at the end of December. I am Requip free for 10/11 days now. I only took 1 mg of Requip for 18 months. My day time aumentation is completely gone. I am not taking any meds other than Gabepintin 300 mg around 7/8 pm and then 600 mg 1 or 2 hours before bed. I am handling ok, getting about 4/5 hours sleep a night. I am having to get up and exercise or clean around 2am for 30 minutes or so. Just wondered if I will be able to complete sleep study if I am still struggling at the end of month? I have never had a sleep study done so have no clue what to expect. I can reschedule it for later if necessary, any advice?

You might want to increase the gabapentin. 900 mg is still a low dose. Ask for 100 mg capsules and increase by 100 mg every couple of days until you find the dose that works for you. I assume 7 to 8 pm is 2 hours ( not more) before the one you are taking 1 to 2 hours before you go to bed.

I went in for a sleep study, and they place electrodes all over the body from head to toe. The results showed that I moved my legs over 800 times and slept for 44 minutes in total. He said it was the worst case of RLS he had seen !!

Were you still on any DA meds or something else to help with RLS?

No, because I hadn't been diagnosed until after the sleep lab tests

You can't really walk around with all the electrodes on when your doing the sleep study, so I just thrashed around in the bed all night. Make sure you let us all know how you go 😀
