Thanks - that is spot on!

Very comprehensive article-- would take days to follow up all the links and references. But all seems correct and no esoteric opinions.

Well worth downloading for future reference.

Thanks for posting.

Yet we are told to take iron with C at night on an empty stomach. Which (dose wise) works well for me. If I took it in the morning, I'd need to wait about 4 hours to eat breakfast because there is calcium in some form in everything I eat.

You only need to wait an hour before a meal and 2 hours after.

Thank you, Sue, that makes like a little easier.

Most of these root causes were known by me and already tested positive for SIBO, have pathogen bacteria infection and inflamed duodenum (this is the part of the small intestine, where iron should absorb). I believe these are the main root causes of my RLS, on the other hand unfortunately it’s just not as easy to take some antibiotics in order to recover from all of these diseases.

my ibs was cured after eliminating all inflammatory foods leading to carnivore but then that reacted so now back to veg

And have you noticed any improvement regarding your RLS symptoms while trying these diets? In my case high count of pathogen Pseudomonas bacteria was found in my microbiome test and it’s very likely this bacteria colonised my duodenum causing inflamation there. This bacteria is highly antibiotic resistent, contains LPS therefore toxic to the body, can thrive on any food, so nor carnivore neither vegetarian diet could eradicate them :( Can grow in distilled water, so even elemental diet is not a good idea.

carnivore certainly healed my gut and i also had a parasite that required a script do not remember which parasite. carnivore also produced 14% more bone density in my spine and 2% more in my hip. I have now gone to keto, as i was reacting to too much meat . I found some ones suggestions of iron with vitamin c every second day , even though levels read ok in labs tests, helpful, meaning no restless legs. supplements ongoing hopeful these results continue

Good to hear you managed to heal your gut. It’s very important in many ways. Regarding RLS unfortunately nor iron supplements neither iron infusion helped me to relieve my symptoms even when my ferritin level was way above 200, so I still have to take Tramadol to be able to sleep at night, but I’m convinced if I manage to kill those bacteria that poison my blood and my organs I would get rid of RLS as well.

Thanks, but I have used several round of herbal products including oregano oil to eradicate my SIBO. Now my digestation is way better than ever in my life, but 100% sure Pseudomonas is still there. I’ll ask for another gastroscopy to check if my duodenum is still inflamed and to get a sample from it and check for the presence of Pseudomonas species.
