Hell is back in town

Pram withdrawal hell is back. I’ve been withdrawing by half a tablet every fortnight. The last month, I’ve been pretty good with RLS. Not so with PLMD. Since I dropped last Sunday down to 2 pram per day, RLS and PLMD have gone into overdrive. I’m getting a couple of hours sh1ty sleep each night. I hate going to bed as I know it’s going to be horrid. It’s so wearing walking around most of the night trying to keep moving, keep mind occupied whilst my eyes feel like there’s a bag of sand in each one. I’ve cut most carbs and refined sugar out of my nutrition regime. Mind you, stress levels at work are pretty high so that ain’t helping. My latest mate - Fibro - is much better since the change of diet. For that, I am soooo grateful. I know ‘pain medication’ are dirty words these days but thank the Lord for Opiates, Analgesics and NSAIDS! Pilates is a big part of my daily routine. 3 x 1 hours sessions per week plus 4 x 15 minute sessions first thing to get me moving more easily. On the bright side, I’m looking forward to tomorrows weigh-in!

To anyone else who is considering weaning off Pram, go for it. It will be worth it in the end I’m sure. To anyone who has done it an come out the other end, my deepest respect to you.

hang in there! I stopped at much faster rate than you and it was 7 days of no sleep but you’re right totally worth it in the end. I was also started on gabapentin and that has been fabulous. On a side note, after having some family issues I found myself not eating for the last month like hardly at all. Lost 10 pounds but rls also been the most controlled in years! I’ve gone down in gabapentin due to this. While I guess I have to eat, it has been interesting to think whatever I cut out of diet was maybe a trigger as well.
