Just wondered if anyone else watched the webinar 10/13/22? The audio was spotty first 20 minutes or so but interesting after it was fixed. He answered questions for an hour. He said there was new research on TENS for RLS that seemed hopeful but not complete. I had been trying accupuncture for RLS and Chemo induced neuropathy, he said no evidence it helped RLS. I have am still trying it for my neuropathy. He also mentioned surgery and the drugs that could make RLS worse during it. When I had my port put in before Chemo, before I completely woke up, I heard the nurse say "her RLS is really bad right now". I then realized I was really moving my legs, they had nothing to give me for it. I didn't think to take anything before surgery since it was very early morning, so it must have been what they gave me. Oncologist plans to remove my port soon and will reach out to RLS.org to be sure I am not given certain drugs, if possible.

Dr. Buchfuhrer Webinar on RLS.org
Hello Opie, I am sorry to hear about your experience of surgery and the effect on your rls. I too listened to the Dr Buchfurher webinar - I am in the UK and recently joined the US Rls society to try and get some up to date information - Drs in the UK just don’t know anything about it. There was so much information I’m going to listen again. I would recommend the site to people in the uk, there is so much on there. I wish there was a Dr Buchfurher here! Good luck with everything - I tried acupuncture for a while and it did really calm my system but not my restless legs however I feel overall it was very therapeutic so hopefully it is helping you.
I signed up for it and then forgot about it! But, if you are a member, you can go on the website and listen/see it now.
So sorry to hear about your cancer treatments and I hope it all improves for you very soon. The last thing you need is RLS on top of everything else. I always have rls in the morning while sleeping, btw, so that is nothing new for me. It depends on your circadian rhythm.
