Diuretic and nasal sprays

Since I had Covid I have had pressure in my ears, like I have to pop my ears every 30 seconds to a minute, anyway my question is my Dr wants me to try a diuretic to dry up any fluid in my ears and he also wants me to use a nasal spray like a sudafed type spray? What do any of you know about these types of medications with restless legs?

Any nasal spray containing sedating anti histamines can also worsen it so try a natural saline sea salt spray. Perhaps head manipulation that some therapists carry out to help vertigo might work better than the diuretics. Drinking lots of water actually helps RLS so taking diuretics would have the opposite effect. The article below mentions diuretics making RLS worse.

Have you been given a course of antibiotics? After Covid I had a terribly blocked nose and sinuses which made me really unwell. I was given 7 days of amoxicillin and within 48 hours the sinus pressure had gone. Covid causes secondary respiratory infections affecting the ears and nasal passages.

I know you will have tried steaming. I would also try alternative therapies, perhaps an acupuncture specialist or a homeopath.

I clicked on the 2nd article and it didn't say anything about diuretics. It did suggest if you take medicines to take DAs 🤢

Dopamine agonists- Ropinirole, pramipexole, rotigotine.

Under "Treatment" it says to avoid diuretics. The rest of the info is clearly out of date as it was written in 2006 when DAs were the "wonder drug".

Sounds to me as if you are suffering lingering inflammation which is also the cause of your rls. Chronic inflammation is most often caused by high blood sugar brought on by eating refined carbohydrate as in processed foods especially white bread and sugar or fruit juice. Chronic inflammation can also be caused by refined seed oils like canola oil and sunflower oil. I suggest avoiding all processed food and only using cold pressed olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil or lard.
