Medical team of patient with augmented RLS (and Parkinsons) report it as effective.
Just chucking it out there in case anyone has access and has ran out of options

Thanks ChickenTwisty. This is very interesting.
I found another couple of studies which show that supplementing with ashwagandha improves sleep quality. While they don't reference RLS, improving sleep quality can help deal with RLS and also reduce symptoms (in that fatigue exacerbates RLS).
Study A
Deshpande, A., Irani, N., Balkrishnan, R., & Benny, I. R. (2020). A randomized, double blind, placebo controlled study to evaluate the effects of ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) extract on sleep quality in healthy adults. Sleep Medicine. doi:10.1016/j.sleep.2020.03.012
In case members can't access the full text article, the study's authors conclude:
Supplementation with 120 mg of ashwagandha extract improved the overall quality of sleep in healthy individuals by significantly improving Non Restorative Sleep condition, by reducing the Onset of Sleep Latency, Wake After Sleep Onset, average awakening time and significantly improving Total Sleep Time, Sleep Efficiency, and Quality of Life. The ashwagandha extract used in this study can be considered as a useful supplement to promote healthy sleep patterns, and restful sleep.
Study B
I've used it - sometimes helps, sometimes nothing. That said, I might give it another try at a higher dose, and for longer (capsules I have are 300mg, root extract). So maybe 2x day is a better dose, and continue for 60 days to become effective. More info here...
No, haven't tried a higher dose yet - but I did just order more. So many supplements!
