I have had RLS for about 50 years. I have taken about everything the doctor could think of or had heard about. I now take 1 Pramipexole 0.5mg every night and that is all. I have had a harder time getting off the drugs than the RLS. The doctors will give you whatever they have heard of last. None of them know what will work.
My new doctor gave me Pram and we worked it down to 1 pill and that is where I have been for a year. Who knows, it may quit working at some time in the future.

That's great , Clarence. As long as the Pramipexol is working well for you, then continue. But on no account be tempted to increase the dose if you feel it is not working.
0.5mg would be regarded as quite a high dose , but I know it is measured differently in various countries.
Have you checked your iron levels? Serum ferritin should be over 100.
Do you keep a food diary to check for any triggers?
Do you take any medications-- antihistamines, antidepressants, statins and so on , that might be causing RLS.
Good luck.
I think you are fantastic to have reached such an age, so well.
Well done for getting off such a high dose Clarence. If you were on 12 times the amount you're on now that is extraordinary.I know how hellish it was getting off 4mg Ropinirole.
I hope your RLS settles and that augmentation doesn't flare up again.
