Celery juice for RLS

Hello everyone

I haven’t been on for a while but wanted to share that I have started celery juicing again and it has 100% improved my RLS.

Really worth giving it a try. I take it first thing in the morning, make it fresh, a full bunch in the juicer and don’t eat for an hour.

Let me know if you try it and see an improvement.

Thanks

Lisa

Lisa, I'm with you and I never thought I would be. When people would be tell me how great juicing is I would smugly tell them to just eat the whole food, it's better for you. And yet here I am (and for the past year) having juice for breakfast most every morning, only I leave nothing out. I blend it up, I do not squeeze the liquid out of food and throw away the pulp. Celery and parsley is in every juice, then I vary between adding carrots, apple, berries, spring mix greens, or jicama. Usually at four or five items. Did you know that you should add a little fat so that you can better absorb ALL of the nutrients. So I will add one or two sorbet bars called Halo (brand name) instead of ice and specifically the coconut one which has a little fat in and is very low in sugar. I will also add a few teaspoons of half and half from Grass Fed cows. I'm not supposed to have dairy because of a condition I have called Eosinophilic Esophagitis, but it's the protein in food that is the problem, not the fat and my case is mild. Anyways, my point is I love my juice and it doesn't slow me down quite as much as some other breakfast items or give me a stomach ache as many foods do.

Thanks for sharing this. I have read that there is a very strong anti-oxidant in celery juice which has neuroprotective properties. No big surprise then that is has helped you.

I'm quite amazed that despite the evidence that a variety of anti-oxidants derived from natural sources can have a significant impact on various conditions that standard medicine doesn't utilise them.

Hi, any ideas if this might be a successful approach to address peripheral neuropathy (idiopathic in my case)? Thanks for your attention.

Hi GillReally quickly within a day or two. I’m about 3 weeks on and it’s still working. I occasionally still get the odd jumping but it’s so much better x good luck, I hope it works for you.

Thank you Lisa. Do you think it would make any difference if I took it mid morning as at the moment, I don't have a juicer, I have borrowed my daughters blender and I then have to strain the juice through a sieve. It takes quite a while for that bit to happen, so, was thinking later in day would be more convenient.

If not, I will get up earlier, anything to get rid of the "fidgets"

It’s really important how you take it to get the best results. You really could do with a juicer, you should be able to get one for about £20. You need to make it fresh first thing in the morning and drink straight away. Do not eat or drink anything for 30 mins after the juice. Organic celery is best. Good luck! 🤞
