Question on augmentation

This formula is working wondering how long I can stay on it without argumentation? 2 mg Neupro,0.125 pramipexole and 1800 Gabapentin?

Not very long,- I would imagine!😭Have you had your iron levels checked, and kept a food diary for at least 3 weeks?

That's a fairly hefty load of medication just for RLS.🤔

Trying to get iron up still in 40tiesI was on 3 mg patch worked great then had skin irritation started reducing now at 2 mg skin problems lessened but 1800 Gabapentin and patch wasn’t controlling so added old pramipexole 0.125 back. I used to take mirapex and It wasn’t working so good been off mirapex for over 1 year was switched to Neupro worked great until skin problems. Which should I decrease first?

Getting off the Pramipexol would make most sense. But you are in for a tough ride to get back to a meaningful base line. I suspect you already have augmentation.If so, you need to be looking at getting off all the DAs. Very slowly.

Well I’m on 0.125. Pramipexole. I can half that pretty easy wouldn’t u think? And do that how slowly? Why do u think I’m augmenting?

And how much is a meaningful baseline?

Guess I thought 0.125 was really low

You say you have a history of Neupro and Pramipexol not working for you after a while. Classic augmentation.Slow is as slow as is effective. Cut the pills and find your levels. Your body will notify you.

Neupro worked just had skin irritations but at 2mg needed a little more help. Thank you, it is so hard to know what to do, especially when something seems to be working! And after tapering off what will work later, so many unknowns! Does everyone augment after awhile?
