Hi everyone Iam from Australia , I live in a little country town about 600ks from the closest city of perth WA , iam finding it very hard to find a dr that will help me with my rls it’s affecting my work & life in general . I’ve been on lyrica , pramipexole for years and have finally taken myself off of them as they just stopped working , I’ve tried all the natural remedies & had my bloods done so my iron is spot on ! Even if I have to travel to perth I will just for a dr to listen to me & help , I’ve asked my dr to refer me to a neurologist & he reckons it would be a waste of time as they will only put me back on the meds he has prescribed 😩 I have private insurance so if anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it so much , atm on a good night iam getting about 4 hrs sleep iam exhausted & at my wits end 😞

Hi Bernnn, I will send you a private message in reply.

Hi Bernnn,

I live in England so I can’t be of any use at all, I just wanted to say hi. 👋🙂

I really hope that you get help you need. How was it withdrawing from your medication?

Hi Mercurial 😊 I withdrew over a period of time about 6 months it was still rough at times & there were times I was just going to start upping my dose again but today I can say it’s completely out of my system but in saying that iam just going crazy with my legs & arms and of course no sleep 💤

Hi Bernn sorry to hear that I live in Martin 15 km from Perth and have a wonderful doctor she is understanding and willing to listen. Yes I also was send to a neurologist and yes after 10 min Lyrica again. My doctor gave me as suggested by the neurologist the lyrica but also Targin that combination is working for me . It does not mean every day but most days it does sometimes I have to take an extra tremadol . The doctor is Fatin Wadiji in Granada medical centre in Maddington I hope this is a bit helpful fir you
