Thank you so much! 😊

I don’t have a list but some that I have had problems with are antidepressants, antihistamines, sleep aides.

Thank you! My doctor prescribed a medicine for anxiety, but when I pull it up online it says it's an antihistamine. So I wonder if it will aggravate my RLS.

With my experience and I’m NOT a doctor but I would say yes. Does your doctor know about our RLS? If not, tell him/her. Just be prepared. Doctors do not like being corrected. But, oh well. It’s your body and you know how you feel.

If it’s a sedating anti histamine then yes. In the UK Claritin is safe. If he’s prescribed it for anxiety it’ll probably be sedating.

Diazepam is prescribed for RLS & can help anxiety.

I didn't know that about Diazepam. I just looked it up and noticed that Valium is the same as Diazepam, but I tried Valium one time for my RLS and it made it almost immediately act up....😔

Were you taking other meds at the same time as diazepam/valium? All benzodiazepines lose effectiveness for RLS after a few months, which is why they are given for a short time or in combination with other RLS meds.

I was given 2 valium by the doctor for a procedure I was going to have to help calm me down. When I took the first one it almost immediately started aggravating my RLS. So I have kept a mental reminder to not take valium ever again.

Hi there the one sort of tablet that I have found reacts badly with it is a tablet called Diclofenac/Diclofenic. I'm sure that one of them is the correct way to spell it! These tablets made my legs twitchy and a sort of an irritating pain, which I can only describe as some thing like having thousands and thousands of tiny little snakey type of things, that are forever crawling up and down your legs, and I've even got a plastic knife before now and sharpened it to a point and used it to stab myself in my legs!!! And it still wouldn't go!!!!! It's definitely one of the worse types of pain that I have ever had!!

So I hope that this helps you out a bit pal
