Did anyone of you notice that you don't yawn anymore since you have severe RLS?

No more yawning?
I yawn a lot but I've read that's related to headaches, of which i get a lot. And I have severe RLS.
I find that if I’m yawning in the evening it often means I have a better night.
I rarely yawn since I have my severe RLS. It disappeared very very slowly so that I didn't notice it for a long time. Now it really strikes me when I actually yawn up and then. When I take my Pramipexol in the late evening it takes about half an hour till it works and I start to yawn. This is the signal to me that I am ready to sleep.
No it has not stopped me yawning. I doubt very much there's any connection between the 2.
I have severe RLS and yawn often with no correlation to RLS.
I've read that what I believed about yawning is a bit of a myth. I believed it's a way of getting extra oxygen, but it's not. The real reason for yawning, apparently, is a bit of a mystery. Like RLS, there seems to be several theories. One theory suggests a connection between dopamine, glutamic acid and yawning. Also there seem to be connections between yawning and serotonin and yawning and opiates.
All in all it's a bit obvious really, the main reason for yawning is tiredness!
Since one aspect of RLS is hyperarousal, it would seem the more severe the RLS, the more aroused you are hence less likely to yawn.
Yawning also has an emotional element. If you've managed to read my rambling so far, you'll probably know what I mean!
zzzzzzz
I've often had the same thought as you. I've got severe plmd, complicated further by severe sleep apnea for which I use a cpap machine. I'm unable to settle to sleep until 6 o'clock in the morning every day. The sleep I do get is disturbed and not great. I can no longer work. I don't yawn ever.
